About Us

About us

Our specialist tax advisory services are provided to our own clients and, more often, to the clients of other professional firms. We are brought in on referral, by an accountant or solicitor who has recognised that their client faces a tax issue calling for knowledge beyond the scope of the everyday practice. In that sense the relationship is not unlike the one between a GP and a consultant. The GP identifies the problem but, because the particular issue arises only occasionally in general practice, does not deal with it often enough to know every current treatment. The consultant sees it week in and week out, and knows exactly how it should be handled. That is the role we play on tax.

We know that choosing a specialist adviser is not always easy, and that few things are less helpful than a firm marking its own homework. So rather than tell you how good we are, we would rather let the work, and our clients, speak for us. What they tend to value is that we deal only in specialist tax advice, which means we complement the introducing firm rather than compete with it, and the client’s existing relationships stay exactly where they are. They value the fact that our reports are thorough but written to be read, in plain language, by the person who has to act on them. And they value a process that is efficient and, wherever possible, handled electronically, so that even a complex piece of work is largely painless to see through.

If you have a client with a tax problem that needs a specialist eye, or if you are that client, we would be glad to hear from you.
